This track is from the first NEU World Order album (2005) and features Cynthia McKinney. We live in a time where rights are been eroded and stolen via corporate control and government corruption. We have a responsibility to end this and restore democracy throughout the Western World. Elections are no longer democratic, voting machines can be programmed to change votes to favoured candidates, there is no way of double checking the vote count and black votes have been deliberatetly sabotaged. There has been no adequate formal investigation into these practices and without a reliable voting system there is no democracy.

John Pilger - Breaking the Silence: Truth and lies in the war on terror

Must watch film from John Pilger on the war against terrorism

John Pilger dissects the truth and lies in the 'war on terror'. Award-winning journalist John Pilger investigates the discrepancies between American and British claims for the 'war on terror' and the facts on the ground as he finds them in Afghanistan and Washington, DC.

In 2001, as the bombs began to drop, George W. Bush promised Afghanistan "the generosity of America and its allies". Now, the familiar old warlords are regaining power, religious fundamentalism is renewing its grip and military skirmishes continue routinely. In "liberated" Afghanistan, America has its military base and pipeline access, while the people have the warlords who are, says one woman, "in many ways worse than the Taliban".

Global Government

Global Government features Alex Jones, taken from Dark Secrets inside the Bohemian Grove, talking to the channel 4 film crew and Jon Ronson. I struggled with this track which went through a few versions before reaching the current version. I felt it was important because Alex does a good job of explaining the conditioning which we are all exposed to throughout our lives, how it is deeply hidden and hard to recognise. Like I've mentioned before, a good example is how everyone believes politicians are corrupt and cannot be trusted, however somehow this is not a problem.

I also like the speech because it captures Alex in natural mode, he is natural at streaming his points of view. It captures an aspect of his personality, his determination and direction. This is no scripted speech, it comes straight from the heart. It gives me hope hearing his positivity, it is too easy to feel insignificant and weak against the corruption and barrage of damage that's all around us. Alex is very emotional, but he soon springs back to a positive outlook. I'm trying to do the same.

Military Industrial Complex

The Military Industrial Complex was mentioned by Eisenhower at his parting speech where he warned us to watch out for them. They are the corporations who make money from producing weapons, security, defensive technology, prisons etc... They benefit from terrorism, crime, riots, and their profits are tied to these kinds of events. If you sell a soft drink you want people to be thirsty, and likewise. They don't even care who they sell the weapons to, the US or Saddham is all the same profit. It is widely believed that many wars are engineered for this very reason, and the largest suspect group is the Carlyle Group whose membership includes both George W Bush and his father, Colin Powell and members of the Bin Laden family (although they sold their shares after 9/11). It doesn't take a genius to work out how fundamentally wrong this is, and as far as I'm concerned is another great product of capitalism.

It goes further than this, as the construction industry also makes a fortune rebuilding all the bridges destroyed by allied occupation at a hiked up price. In my mind there is no doubt that profit drives most if not all major political decisions which are made. Governments should never be connected with industry, surely a politicians duty is to the electorate only? Once you start doing some research into the current (and past) US administration there are many uncomfortable links, and the worst thing is they are not even a secret.

I owe a lot to Alex Jones for motivating me to produce the album and this site, I have felt like I should be something for some time, and through Alex and the Live8 fiasco things fell into place. I stumbled across his material around June this year and became hooked. He has a Public Access TV show, a syndicated Radio show and has made a dozen or so documentaries. The first thing that strikes you when you watch his TV shows is how real he is. You suddenly become aware of how contrived and designed all TV is, even if you think it is already. On his weekly TV show he sits at a desk with a big pile of News articles taken from the mainstream media and 'passionately' goes through them. He stands for fighting against the New World Order, injustice, and exploitation and his best work has been documenting the rising police state in the US over the last decade, which is truly terrifying.

I was working on the album at the time of the Hurricane Katrina disaster. I was watching Alex Jones' TV show when he showed this clip of Aaron Broussard being interviewed on 'meet the press.' It is very disturbing to see someone this broken and amidst all the other stories of FEMA atrocities this seemed like total confirmation that it was a reality. I am also frequently dismayed and angered by the way the media sensationalize a story as a piece of infotainment, then most of the time it is instantly forgotton once the newsworthy value has gone in favour of the next. To find out what happens next you almost have to wait for John Pilger to make a documentary on it! Well not quite true but you catch my drift.

The followup to this was a massive attack from the media claiming that he had lied about the facts and that he faked it for publicity! All this because he dare to criticise the Federal Government God Forbid... This poor man had watched the choas and deaths happening around him, many important decisions on his head, the idea that he was in a situation to fake tears is pure evil! There is a followup interview on Meet the Press where these acusations are hurled at him and he stands his ground admirably, and does gives a good jab back at the media whores. These kinds of stories really make you lose faith in humanity, we are no better than dogs fighting over bones, a total waste of intelligence. The followup can be found HERE.

This track finishes the album with a message of positivity. It features John Pilger taken from his excellent documentary "Paying the Price: The Killing of the Children of Iraq" made in 2003. This film investigates the atrocities carried out by the US and UK in Afghanistan and Iraq, in the so called war on Terrorism. John Pilger is very direct and to the point, and is not afraid to ask the right questions. I felt the intro and summary of this film tied all of the issues on the album together, particularly the positivity that we can do something about it, which is the most important message. Democracy does exist but has been manipulated to a shocking degree by goverments, media and corporations. At the end of the day we still elect these people and so we have a responsibilty for what they do, if we don't like it we need to act. When Alex Jones interviewed George Galloway on his radio show around July time, Alex asked him how the Iragi people felt towards the US and UK populations. He replied that they see us as living in a democracy and so we are responsible for what our leaders do, in other words we are judged as a nation for what Blair or Bush decide. When I first thought about this, I realised two things;

John Pilger - Investigative Journalist

John Pilger makes shocking documentaries and researches the material thoroughly. He is a true journalist who sticks by his principles, and remarkably his films are funded and shown on ITV. His career spans back to 1958, working for many major media outlets as a reporter and war correspondent, and he has won many awards for his work. I have a lot of respect for him, he has a history of challenging the injustice our governments inflict, and takes up the stories of victims who have no voice in the mainstream media. The most shocking film for me is 'Stealing a Nation' which filled me with absolute outrage and I think everyone should see this disgusting part of our heritage. I will be devoting a section of the site to this in the near future, these people need justice now, and I cannot imagine anybody thinking that this situation is ok.

Cynthia McKinney - The Sword Of Truth

Cynthia McKinney is what all politicians should be. She stands for justice, freedom, equality and is outspoken against corruption. She was attacked and framed by the mainstream media prior to the 2002 election, which she then lost because a fictional quote was passed around the Associated Press circuit claiming that she had accused George Bush of prior knowledge of 9/11. She has since won back her seat in 2004 and continues to fight for justice for the 9/11 victims families, and for an independant investigation, including bringing all the evidence available into the public domain. She is also fighting for all evidence from the Martin Luther King Assasination to be de-classified, and has submitted a bill to Congress. She also stands against the war in Iraq and for the safe withdrawal of US troops.
